Front-Porch Swing

The slow-cooked, low-stress jazz collective of
Danny Tobias, Pat Mercuri and Phil Orr,
lyrical players steeped in the Great American Songbook.

Danny Tobias

Danny Tobias

has played professionally since age 15, at US jazz festivals with the Midiri Brothers, and leading his own groups for the PA, NJ and Tri-State Jazz Societies. In the style of his heroes Buck Clayton and Ruby Braff, he has lent his quietly lyrical horn to groups involving Warren Vaché, Harry Allen, Kenny Davern, Wycliffe Gordon, Vince Giordano, Jon-Erik Kellso and many others, at Birdland, The Players Club, Lincoln Center Atrium and similar jazz venues around the US and Canada.
